Another great Friday hike at Johnson Ferry North and Hyde Farm.  We started by first walking along the Chattahoochee before crossing into the Hyde Farm property.  We walked a variety of trails both along a ridge and closer to the river before finally climbing back to the top of the ridge on an old farm road. 

We next visited the Powers/ Hyde Family homestead and learned a little more about the two families who farmed this area for over 150 years.  After briefly visiting the small pond adjacent to the Hyde Farm property, we started following beautiful Mulberry Creek, crossing the creek perhaps 8 times.  After crossing Mulberry for the last time, we reentered the JFN unit of the CRNRA for our last mile of the hike passing a beautiful swamp.  We finally reached our cars, ending our 4.5 mile hike.  ~ Holt
