I really goofed - posted 2 1/2 hour, 6 miles - turned into 3 hr. and just under eight miles.

Everyone did fine - lots of exposure to the sun, we saw turtles, a snake, and a huge monadnock.

I was advised of a shortcut behind the "prison" but elected to stick to my plan.  I think we could have cut off 1 1/2 miles.   Next time I may take advice from my hikers, especially since they often know the trails better than me.
