We had beautiful weather for our fast paced hike at Island Ford this morning, despite the occasional wet trails and slippery bridges. (The slick Schick Bridge required careful footing! )

I was so proud of our group for staying registered all week (no last minute drops!) and for Dan C. showing up with a wasp-stung-swollen face. What a trooper! 

We managed to clock in at least 5.8 miles (some had over 6) with just a few short water breaks. It's the hike we resign ourselves to suffer on.  

Who made it to the top of the warm-up hill first? Today it was Aubie, Ryleigh's 7 year old pup! She pushed herself hard today with the rest of us! ~ Joyce
