Another great group for today's hike at West Palisades from the Akers Mill entrance.  We began by hiking from the parking lot back out the park road and turning left onto an old roadbed.  We followed this all the way out to the south end of the park where we descended down to the Chattahoochee River.  We walked along the river for perhaps 3/4 of a mile before turning around and heading back to the Bob Callan trail. 

Then we began our first climb back up to the ridgeline.  From there we proceeded back towards the north end of the park.  We took an old woods road back down to the river where we did several loops along the riverside trails.  Then one last climb back to the ridgeline and our cars.  We clocked in at about 4.5 miles in 2 hours.  ~ Holt
