Write Up:I think this was my first time leading this hike. I've done it many times, but either sweeping with Trena or participating on one of Holt's hikes. But it's not a difficult trail to follow, and it has so much to offer . . . beautiful woods, wide trails, huge meadows, and loads of interesting rocks and trees. We not only did the 24 Gun Trail, but we hiked the entire perimeter of the meadow and then finished up on the Nature Trail for a total of 5.7 miles. Our pace seemed very moderate to have covered that much distance in 2 hours . . . but I guess the relative flatness of the trails enabled us to walk faster without feeling a strain. Thanks to Lee for some additional photos and the GPS tracing of the trails. ~ Joyce
