Fall treated us well this morning with a beautiful, crisp morning for our hike.  We did our four advertised climbs and descents as we criss crossed the park.  We saw a bit of wildlife along the way including deer, turtles, mallards and a variety of spiders, some quite large.  The leaves have started to drop which created quite a beautiful colorful blanket for the trails.  We enjoyed the time down by the river which was beautiful.  We were keeping a strong pace so we finished the planned hike early but the group was game for some extra hiking so we added another 3/4 miles to our hike ending with about 5.2 miles in 2 hours. ~ Holt
