An absolutely perfect hike! The air was crisp and clean, the cloudless sky a deep blue, the sun bright, and the trails dry. We were prepared for a lot of fallen trees, but the trails we chose today were relatively free of obstacles. Except for one large tree with lots of branches to get through, the rest of the trunks were easy to step over. Our pace was pleasant, but we clocked in over 5 miles, which was perfect for this beautiful morning's jaunt.

The friendly chatter throughout the hike made me grateful to be able to do what I do. Being an AOC trip leader has its intrinsic rewards. ~ Joyce
