It was a great morning for hiking, a little bit chilly and cloudy with intermittent sunshine. Introductions were done at the restrooms. We were told by other hikers before we stated the water was over the sidewalk going under S Atlanta St thus, we hiked along Riverside Dr until it met the trail. We followed the trail down river stopping briefly to observe the sights. We stopped whenever we came to a spot to get pictures. Stopping at the location I had taken the picture of the eagle in the event write-up – unfortunately, there were no eagles today. Upon reaching the parking lot at the end of the boardwalk we turned around returning to the parking lot this time we the water had receded enough to go under the bridge.
