It was cloudy and slightly chilly at the start of the hike making it a perfect day for a hike with temperature in the mid 50’s at the start of the hike. With everyone arriving we did introductions, then proceeded from the Powers Island Parking Lot to the Interstate North Parking Lot at Cochran Shoals. We crossed the bridge over the swamp a zigzagged along the trails ending up at the Columns Drive Parking Lot. Back to the Interstate North Parking Lot and Powers Island Parking Lot a quick trip around the Powers Island Loop Trail ending the hike on time and at just over 6 miles.
