Anoother spectacular winter hike for 2021! Arkaquah trail to Brasstown parking lot with a side trip on Jack's knob trail to GA180 out and back. The weather was spectacular for January, started off cool but abundant sunshine quickly warmed into the upper 40’s. A few icy spots made for some treacherous going. I thankfully brought my micro spikes and took care of that problem. Two 4,000 foot peaks knocked off, Chimneytop (4303 ft) just off the Arkaquah trail and an unnamed peak (4561 ft) Wolfpen Ridge on Jack's knob. Tough day, with over 16 miles and 6,000 ft elevation gain.
