A beautiful, yet cool day hiking all the way around Kennesaw Mountain.  The cool start helped us get moving quickly and we moved fairly quickly up Pigeon Hill and around the Brumby Trail to the visitor center.  We were moving at about 3.2 MPH for that portion of the hike.  Then after a short break, we headed out the 24 Gun Trail.  Then it was over to the big field and spent a mile walking through some of the most beautiful terrain at Kennesaw.  Then across Burnt Hickory and then using some horse trails, we reached the Hardage Mill trail which we took back to our cars.  We finished our 7.5 mile hike in 2:45 hours.  ~  Holt
