First hike of 2021 was winter wonderland with four hikers on the Wagon Train Trail from Young Harris to Brasstown. Started off gray but as we hiked through the cloud layer the sky was the so blue and brilliant sunshine. Very few people since the college is on break and Brasstown is closed for the season. I love how every hike is different. We had planned to stop at Little Bald but with this much snow, the bushwhack was not advisable, but still got 15 miles and 3,500 ft elevation gain made this a challenging and rewarding day!
