We did introductions at the Visitor Center expecting sunny yet still cold and maybe a little wind. We got cloudy, cold and on various parts of the trail a lot of wind, still a good day for hiking. We hiked over to the Homestead Trail following it in a clockwise direction. The water level was extremely low, allowing us to hike along the shore for some distance before retuning to the trail. After completing the loop, we hiked the White Tail Trail completing the event and the advertised distance.
