|
As we started the temperatures were in the mid-30s and a few clouds, by the end of the hike the temperatures were in the high 40s and we were delayering. The trail was extremely slick as we started caused by frozen/melting water beneath the trail surface. As the temperature warmed up, we only had to content with some very muddy sections of the trail. The only other surprise was as we headed toward 75 a bridge had a tree across it with a trail going thought the creek. Later as we came to the second bridge it was closed. One of the four wire strands holding the bridge had broken and it was unsafe to cross, there was no trail around this bridge, and we turned around about a tenth of a mile early. Our two members that had never been to The Bamboo Forest and they enjoyed it as did the rest of us. Parts of the trail was crowded as was the Parking Lot as we left resulting in it taking a good bit of time to leave.
