WoW!  What a sunny beautiful quick paced, 6.1 mile/2 hour, Trek we had at Island Ford!  Lauren joined us and had only completed 2 other hikes with the club.  She wasn't sure she could keep up with us.  Half-way through the hike I turned and, to my surprize, she was right there-next in line!  I love it!  Another member I hadn't hiked with B4 was Joe.  He had a kool looking patch on his jacket, I noticed.  It was his official NPS voluteer patch.  Thanks, for helping with our NPS trails, Joe!  Well sadly, as I was informed by several members, we did't see the expected wildlife because this was their afternoon nap time....  However, I think our exciting member discoveries & beautiful weather made up for the lack of animal wildlife!!!  Ya'll hurry back real soon!
