I took a chance on the weather for this morning's hike, deciding that the prediction of 35% chance of rain the night before might just lessen by the morning. So the reminder email said we would be keeping the hike active. It was a lucky decision, as there was no rain during our hike . . . just a very light mist for the first few minutes. In short order, we removed our rain jackets and enjoyed a very pleasant two hour jaunt through the two parks.

Russ Steele will be so jealous! Bleau - - the original, I think - -flew down the creek and landed right in our view, where he posed for us while keeping an eye our for his potential breakfast.

We had a little extra time when we returned to the parking lot, so four of us extended our hike by taking a turn around Powers Island itself, where we posed for some photos with a couple of amazing trees. ~ Joyce
