We didn't think we had a chance of seeing Bleau today with the water so muddy and violent from last night's thunderstorms . . . but there he was by the river as we approached the dam. We were able to get some good photos plus even a video as he moved upstream to find a more appealing location.

Though the trails were very wet and slippery from all the rain, our experienced group navigated the rocks and roots without a mishap (until the last few minutes of the hike when an unnamed, very photogenic member of our group took her eyes off the trail and ended up with a bloody knee.) (No, it wasn't Joyce this time!)

We were very pleased with ourselves having covered 5.7 miles despite the long stops for photos and the challenging trails.
