As you can see from the group picture, ALMOST all of us dressed in shorts - - appropriate for the warm, sunny morning. We were all veterans of the Thursday morning hike except for Allison, a brand new member, who was a most welcome addition to our ultra-sociable group.

We did a different route today, heading up the road after finishing the warm-up trail. The road, by the way, is a constant uphill heading in that direction. When we finally reached the crosswalk, we headed left to access the gravel path around the apartment lagoon. Then, we crossed the street and entered the park proper, heading through the woods to the upper parking lot.

After a brief water break we headed down Roberts Drive and into the woods to see the ruins. Then back into the park for our final stretch along the river.
