A different kind of Tuesday morning hike to partner with Russ's fast D2 that started at Roswell Mill. Our hike was moderate, so that we were able to form two hikes instead of one, giving folks a choice of speeds. It worked out well . . . and we even passed Russ's group as we were finishing our hike.

The trails at Vickery were rather muddy in several spots, which was a surprise. It was hard to get around some of the slushy sections without getting our boots dirty. Thank goodness for waterproof boots!

The water in the creek was clear today, and the dam impressively flowing. It was nice to be able to stop from time to time to look at interesting sites along the way. No Bleau today, and no deer. But great company. ~ Joyce
