Brrrrr! Today's temperature remained in the mid to high 20's throughout our hike, with a hefty breeze that caught us on the ridges. My hands were so frozen, I could barely turn on my camera for photos! Heavy mittens and gloves were definitely the things to wear. My thin windbreaker gloves were practically useless.
The water was raging over the dam this morning, and because of the cold air, it produced an eerie mist over the river.
The trails were surprisingly passable except for the stretch of trail that paralleled Grimes Bridge Road. That trail is definitely one to avoid until we get some drying out.
Welcome to our newest member, Kim, sho had no trouble keeping ups with the group today.
Photos in this album are from Joyce, Russ, and Mike!
