Write Up:
A perfect day for a paddle on the huge West Point Lake. In the beginning the lake was like glass. 8 intrepid paddlers paddled all the way to the red neck state of Alabama where we paused by a crimson bouy (Roll Tide) for a floating snack break. The way back was interesting as the wind picked up to a fresh breeze to give us a good workout. Susan had the opportunity to learn about weather cocking. She still looked graceful gliding swiftly through the water. Thomas has video to prove it. A fun time by all, especially Alicia who made the maiden paddle in her new boat.
