Our 5th hike of the day will make Russ S. so jealous! Despite a turbulent, swollen creek, Bleau was right next to our trail, standing in the shallow edge of the water, looking for a meal. We stood and watched him for quite a while, and then slowly walked by him as he intently watched the water. He must have been hungry, not to be disturbed by our presence.

Other than the trail that paralleled Grimes Bridge (which was very muddy) there wasn't too much mud to deal with on the hike. We were lucky. We caught a nice breeze every once in a while, which was really delightful. The day turned out to be really beautiful.

It was a great final hike of the day for Dan, Linda, and me. We were able to get in about 4.85 miles, including a long stay by the creek to watch Bleau.~ Joyce
