Gary would be proud! We kept a very brisk pace for 1 hour, 44 minutes and hit the 6.0 mile mark - - including a few stops to check for the heron. (No herons today, except perhaps one in flight.)

It was a lovely morning to get this hike in. Beautiful spring flowers everywhere, and still cool enough not to get overheated.

We even sighted Michelle D. doing a solo hike on the trail!
