A great day to go hiking with it a little chilly when we started. A third of the way through the hike it had warmed up enough for us to start removing layers. To our surprise there were few other hikes at the beginning. At one point we counted fifteen turtles on logs and in the water. We also saw several large fish near the surface. There was a blowdown, tree blocking the trail. This tree was across a creek going down a steep drop. This incline was also slick. After determining via sliding and falling that we had to find a better way down. I directed the rest of our group down a different way. Fortunately, no one got hurt doing this crossing.
