We met at the Indian Trail Parking lot. The road into this parking lot is getting worst meaning the potholes are getting bigger. Another hot and humid August day. We did introductions in the parking lot and headed for the Bamboo Forest in a counterclockwise direction. This part of the has become very technical and I would not recommend it for those that are “Beginners”. The water level was high and appeared to be raising and the current was fast. Shortly after passing the building on the trail leading to the Bamboo Forest, we had to turn around due to the flooding of the trail, see pictures. We did get some great shots of the fog raising over the river. Returning to the Parking Lot via the trails by the river we found the trails in much better conditions. As we headed to the Whitewater Parking lot we came to another spot where the water was up to the trail. Overall, not a bad hike. My phone’s GPs burped, thus I am using Lee’s GPS information.
