The weather was great for the entire event.  We had a great group of backpackers including many old time AOC members as well as a new member.. all top notch hikers/backpackers.

Once we reached camp we set up and gathered firewood.  Then the group hiked to the top of Big Scaly to view the sunset with a perfectly clear sky.  Back at camp we had dinner and enjoyed each others company around the campfire.  We had the area all to ourselves

There was some concern about overgrowth along the trail on the way up this time of year, but this only turned out to be more of an issue on the hike out on the Beech Creek trail.  We had to bushwack through much of the trail on the first section.. but this group of veterans did it in fine style!

This turned out to be a trip to remember. A great time!
