Write Up:Early signs of winter greeted eight AOC hikers at Stone Mountain, and there was some concern expressed over the trip leader's choice of short pants! Fall colors were abundant and we caught sight of a deer bounding through the woods. The breezy brisk weather quickened our step around the park and up the steep slope to the summit where we enjoyed a clear view of Atlanta, Buckhead, Lenox, and the perimeter. Our wordly members provided entertaining accounts of race-car driving, living in Georgia (the country, not our state!), and summiting Kilimanjaro!
