It was a cloudy day and a little chilly. With a small group we picked up speed having to delay. The trail we quite with occasional; runners on the southern end of the hike. As we neared Noses Creek trail, we encountered more hikers and a couple of people riding horses on the Old John Ward Road Trail. Overall, a nice hike. On the Hardage Mill Trail we encountered roots that looked as though they had bee set on Fire. I was told it was Burn Fungus. I Googled Burn Fungus before writing this. None of the pictures on Goggle look like the pictures I have posted. Anyone have any other ideas?
