Mon, Dec 6 2021 - Monday Morning at Vickery Creek - Groveway Park Entrance (View Original Event Details)

It was a difficult weather-call today. Rain was definitely in the forecast, but it looked as though we would stay dry until around noon. Although it never actually rained, it "misted" a couple of times during our hike. It wasn't enough to force us into rain jackets, so we were grateful for the ability to get in a pleasant hike.
I was delighted that Russ had never hiked the trail along Hog Wallow Creek in the Waller Extension, and that he was excited to learn about the beautiful stretch of trail. Those of you who hike with Russ may very well find that trail included on his Vickery Creek hikes!
We were happy to meet a new AOC member, Richard, who immediately garnered many friends with his friendly manner. An added hike bonus to our hike membership was Joseph, who is not new to the AOC, but new to our Monday morning hikes.
I had to smile as I drove home and was forced to use my windshield wipers because of the actual rain that came in after our hike! We hiked without rainfall! ~ Joyce
