Another beautiful morning for a hike at Island Ford! Temperatures in the mid-30's were hardly a deterrent as we scaled the warm-up hill and soon after had to remove layers. The lack of wind was a factor in our favor.

We welcomed Doug to our Thursday morning hike; he's an AOC veteran, but this was his first time with the group. The pace and the hills were no problem for him!

Congratulations to Russ and Michelle who pulled of a tie win up the warm-up hill with lots of contenders close behind.

Dan, Belinda and Michelle took the lead for a while and soon disappeared from sight. They were very likely keeping a 3.5 mph pace from the top of the lollipop stem to the upper lot.
