I really blew it on my first Cinco hike for the day. I somehow forgot the 8 am start time, and planned to arrive well before 9 - - which was late! I immediately called Susan F., a trip leader who was on the hike, and asked her to please start the hike for me, introducing the two new members (Win and Joanna), having the group introduce themselves, and then taking the group to Riverside Park where they could use the bathrooms. I hoped to be able to intercept them on their return to Don White Park, which I was able to do. . . about 15 minutes late. The group was very forgiving, and the rest of the hike went well.

Thankfully, the morning temperature was cool, and most of our hike was under tree coverage, so it was a very pleasant 3.5 mile trek. ~ Joyce
