Write Up:We had a wonderful blue sky day discovering some “hidden” gems. First up was the Blue
Heron Nature Preserve along with its pollinator gardens, honey-bee hives, amphibian
breeding tanks and trail side art. We then transitioned to the northern part of PATH400 for
some great views of Buckhead and a bit more local art. We ended the walk back in the
preserve following the creek bed back to our cars.
It was great introducing these local gems - and the sweet taste of honeysuckle - to both
experienced AOC members and a newcomer joining us for their second walk. Thanks to all for
joining me on my first co-lead!
