We met at the Powers Island parking lot for introductions and walked over to Cochran Shoals to for the distance. As we passe the Cochran Shoals parking lot there were still some spaces open. I was surprised for 9 AM on Memorial Day weekend. We took the trail across the swamp zigzagged up and down the hills until we returned to the gravel road and stopped briefly at the Columns Drive parking lot. We returned to the Interstate North parking lot. We went under I285 and crossed the river again. There we went to Powers Island and did the river loop trail returning to the parking lot. At the end of the hike a group of guys were getting ready to go rafting. A Range stopped them because they were not wearing personal Floatation Devices.

I would like to recognize Aaron for joining us on his first hike and Jane and Win on their second hike.
