We took a unique route around Island Ford this morning, completely bypassing the lollipop trail. The humidity was extremely high, so we took several water breaks including a rather creative one at the deck through the apartment complex.

We encountered the Renegades three times during our hike, so we had some extra minutes of socializing throughout the morning - - a special treat.

Toby (Pam's dog) was along as a companion, plus we stopped for several minutes to watch a couple of young deer - - a doe and a young buck. The mist on the river made for a nice photo as well as a fly fisherman in the river. A lot to see this morning!

Congratulations to David D. on his first "win" up the warm-up hill!
