Write Up:Six intrepid AOC hikers agreed that the searing weather forecast was somewhat exaggerated! Allthough the temperature approached 90 and the humidity almost 50%, we still kept a brisk pace and even after a relaxed lunch at the Hike Inn, we finished the event early. Hospitality at the Inn was it's usual high standard and we passed very few fellow hikers. There was spirited discussion as to whose device most accurately reflected our actual mileage and the owner of a Corus won us over to her view that we had actually covered 11 miles, and just over 2100 ft of elevation gain. It was a very good day to be outdoors in good company.
