The hike was a great start to the day.  Surprisingly cool at the start with several cooling breezes throughout the hike made it a very comfortable outing.  The group consistently managed to keep the goal of 24 minute miles for all five, regardless of climbs or declines.  We didn’t see much wildlife, maybe due to our noise!  However, we did see a turtle in the middle of the path.  I hadn't hiked with the majority of the group, so it is always a treat to meet new members!
