Yonah has really become a lush, green, somewhat overgrown environment., but it never ceases to be a lovely, challenging trail. We kept a moderate pace to the top with several breaks, but the hot, humid weather made the hike challenging. One huge tree was quite an obstacle across the trail, forcing most of us to get on our hands and knees to go underneath it.

Several of our group ventured out onto the rock cropping for pictures. That's not a place to be if one is afraid of heights!

We enjoyed a leisurely lunch break at the overlook before continuing around the mountain, catching views of Pink Mountain before heading to the gravel path for our descent.
