After a few days of worrying about a rain out we were able to get in a solid mid week hike without a single drop.  We did however get plenty wet as the humidity early on was brutal, but by the second half it was much more reasonable.  We clocked a total of 6.1 miles with 1280 feet of elevation.  We went over our target time by 13 minutes due to some extra regrouping breaks on the first half. Average pace was 2.8mph, moving pace was 3.0.  I lost count of the number of deer we saw tonight.  They were out in full force.
