I accidentally deleted all my photos from today's hike that were on my camera card before I could get them posted. Fortunately, Lee also took a bunch of photos which we are posting with Russ’s pictures. The hike at Sope Creek was an adventure! Russ took us along the creek toward the ruins for the first part of the hike - -a route that was tricky but fun, and very scenic! Then we crossed the river and hiked to the ruins on the other side. That's where the group split up for a time, with five of us crossing a little creek to access the creek in front of the ruins and the rest returning on the trail. The rock hopping along the creek was fun . . . something that can be done only with very low creek water. When we got to the end of the ruin walls, we climbed back up to the trail and joined the other group at the bridge. The rest of the hike was smooth-sailing as we picked up the pace and made a loop around the unit. Oh, what a beautiful day! ~ Joyce
