Write Up:Have we ever had a bad hike at Vickery Creek? Not with Russ leading the event AND a great sighting of Bleau! Granted, it was pretty cold before we started, but we all knew we'd soon be peeling off layers as we warmed up. We passed some volunteer CRNRA park volunteers who clearing leaves from the trail. We could really appreciate the areas they had worked on, as there were no obstructions to seeing what lay on the trails! At another point, we passed two ladies who brought their Chattapoochee dogs for a walk. How amazing that these ladies can walk eight dogs with no problems! Though Marina was able to pet one of the dogs, we were quickly admonished NOT to pet them any further because of their liability as a business. They don't want strangers getting injured by one of their dogs. That was good information, and we quickly backed away from the pack, thanking the ladies and wishing them a good day. Despite the pauses for pictures of each other and for pictures of Bleau, we were able to get in 5.3+ miles by the time we returned to the Covered Bridge. ~ Joyce
