We had a terrific group of members on today's hike. No whining, despite some of the steep descents over leaf-covered trails. Not a slip or a fall to report!

The skies were so blue and clear, and the air cool and dry. Perfect hiking weather.

We encountered a lively poodle-type dog racing back and forth along the trail by the rocky area, without a leash and with no owner in sight. Four of the group at the back caught the dog and called the owner on the tag. Allan, Evy, Dan C., and Gary all helped to get the dog returned to its owner. Those GPS devices don't always work, and they certainly don't count for the leash law.
