What a great hike we had this afternoon to celebrate Amy's 100th AOC events! Sadly, we had a couple of last-minute drops, so that those on the waiting list didn't have time to join us; but the 13 of us who did participate had a really nice hike.

We were especially happy to meet Jess S., on her 4th AOC hike. She's an exceptionally friendly young lady, more interested in learning about us than talking about herself. She expressed deep gratitude for being a part of today's celebration. We all hope to see her soon and often.

We allowed 2.5 hours for our hike, and we used all the time, hiking through both the Sope Unit and the entire Cochran Shoals unit. We stopped at the Columns Drive bathroom on our route, finishing our hike with 6.0 miles on Lee's GPS tracker.

Both Amy and the Wangs brought celebratory treats to the hike, which we enjoyed when we returned to our cars. ~ Joyce
