7 waterproof hikers set out to conquer three 4000+ mountains on a wet Thursday morning.  After a long climb up from Vogel we reached the summit of a misty Coosa Bald then had lunch atop a foggy Slaughter mtn.  Descending to Slaughter gap we scoffed at the idea of a quick exit and continued up Blood mtn in a steady drizzle.  After a short break in the dry mountain shelter we made the mostly rain-free descent back to the Vogel trailhead. All in all a great hike for a wet December day.
