"Oh, what a beautiful morning! Oh, what a beautiful day . . . ." Amazing how things can change in a matter of hours. The dreary, rainy morning gave way to clear skies and sunshine just as we gathered for our hike!

We knew the trails would be very slippery and muddy, but rather than take the road for an urban hike, the group preferred to be in the woods - - and it really wasn't that bad once we got above creek level.

Our group of 15 plus a waiting list dwindled significantly by this morning due to concerns about the trail conditions. I'm always grateful when we make it through a hike without any falls or mishaps.
