Lee, Dan C., and I all took photos today to be sure we commemorated Jess's birthday hike sufficiently! Both Lee's and Dan's photos have been added to this album.
It was a beautiful morning for hiking with bright sunshine, blue skies, cool air, and a superb group of eager hikers.
Jess hasn't been with the club long at all, but she's already become a welcomed friend. To celebrate her birthday, she brought homemade Australian Fairy Bread, which she made with her own little hands. We enjoyed learning about the Australian tradition of Fairy Bread on one's birthday. . . but we needed no excuse to enjoy the festive triangles of sprinkled toast!
Our friendly Ham operator was stationed at the bench by the upper parking lot, communicating with other operators across the country - - in Morse Code.
