It was a last-minute hike, but what a great group gathered for it! We had both AOC VP's (Mike and Susan) plus four newbies with under 10 events: Diane was on her first event, Deb on her third event, Christina on her fourth event, and Grade on her 8 the event. How nice to welcome so many newbies !

We kept a steady, moderate pace throughout the hike, so everyone kept up well. We stopped for water breaks and we stopped once for Mike to explain the GPS numbers posted on signs throughout the hike. One other stop was at the ruins, which some members hadn't before seen.

We covered close to 5 miles in just over 2 hours . . . just as planned. ~ Joyce
