A chilly, but beautiful morning at Leita Thompson today. I forgot to take a group picture at the beginning of the hike, but managed to get on in later. We all were distracted by what seemed to be an ownerless dog who came right up to us and sat down beside several of the ladies. Fortunately, we passed a lady on the trail who told us that the dog was soon picked up by his owner, who figured he would have left home to come to the dog park at Leita Thompson since they live close by.

We had fun with some good-natured PortaPotty shots (the most I've had in a day), and enjoyed the onstage performance of "The Sound of Music," sung as a duet by Gerrilyn and Brian. Such good sports!

We did one little creek crossing (with Brian's helpful hand) and managed to get in almost 500 feet of elevation during the hike.
