Our fifth hike of the day was actually our fastest - - 5.8 miles. Guess I was eager to call it a day! Because of traffic and other problems, our initial group of 15 dwindled to just 10; but that was fine. We met a newbie (Janice) who fit in beautifully with the group.

You can see Gary's umbrella in the pictures, and we did actually get a spritzing of rain at one point, but it wasn't even enough for me to put away my camera. The temperature dropped a bit, and we some of us were actually cold! Good reason to hike fast.

Congratulations to Gerrilyn for completing all five hikes with me. What a great friend! ~ Joyce
