The temperature was in the warm and muggy mid 70’s. We missed the rain. We hiked to the Visitor Center, then the picnic area where we started the Environmental Trail hiking it in a clockwise direction, then turned left on the 24 Gun Trail. We followed the 24 Gun Trail to Gilbert Road, turned around until we came to the Environmental Trail. From there we returned to the overflow parking lot.
