It was a fine Memorial Day hike! The parking lot was very crowded, but we were all able to park before the hike started. We were delighted to meet Susan C., Shirley W.'s friend who was visiting from New York. What a bright spirit she was, and a joy to meet.

We headed right for the Cochran Shoals unit and looped around to the gravel path by the river. We had a nice bathroom break before heading up the long hill to the cemetery and back into the Sope Creek Unit. The temperature today stayed on the cool side, so that we remained nice and dry. It was Memorial Day, so we all sported American Flag bandanas. Regina's Memorial Day garb was great! (She always celebrates occasions well!)
